Lodging in Tieton and Environs
DURING MAJOR EVENTS Tieton goes into a whole new mode. Here is a list of places to stay in and around Tieton when we have a large group coming to town. Make contact early! Things fill up unexpectedly fast here.
DURING COMMUNITY DAYS, Friday August 27th and Saturday August 28th, we will have camping in the garden next to the Book Arts Studio and sheltered space in the Harvest Hall. Bathrooms and a kitchen are available to overnight guests. $15 per/$25 per couple per night suggested donation. Quite a deal to be so close to the action. Local Hotels
In Naches (our next door neighbor), you can stay downtown at the Natchez Hotel, 213 Naches Ave. Rooms range from $50 - 150. Note that their website has an incorrect phone number. Things move a little slower up here. Call 509 653-1317. Nice place.
Local B&Bs
Just out of town and in the orchards is Apple Country B&B. 509 972-3409.
Closer to Yakima and located in a hillside cherry orchard, the Orchard Inn is a very comfortable B&B. Karen and Henner Krueger could not be nicer. 509-966-1283.

FOR SMALL PARTIES El Nido is the place to stay in Tieton. It is composed of several small white cabins clustered around large trees on seven acres, two blocks from the square, and one block from Tieton Lofts and the Mighty Tieton Warehouse. Each cabin has a queen bed, kitchenette, desk, and bathroom. Perfect for a weekend visit or a longer retreat to finish a project or a manuscript undistracted. (And if you time it right you might be able to participate in a rousing game of Stumpen Tossen.)
