The Vision

The primary goal of Mighty Tieton is to build a community of successful artisan businesses in Tieton, located fifteen miles west of Yakima, Washington. Once fully developed, these light manufacturing and hospitality enterprises will help to stimulate the local economy, gain national recognition for creating and selling products of imaginative design and high quality, and distribute products to national markets via conventional and unconventional means.

This venture is building an identity for Tieton as a beautiful, interesting and pleasant destination for regional and national visitors. Mighty Tieton is developing residential and tourist accommodations and facilities for special private, commercial and cultural events.

What kind of artisan businesses? Enterprises that involve sophisticated design and execution, the inspiration of smart artists and designers, and the imaginative use of new and recycled materials. Mighty Tieton hopes to attract commercial food and beverage businesses, and unusual and inspired art and educational events.

Cultural events are essential to the vision. This year, Mighty Tieton will host several art, antique, literary, and performance events. Tieton is well suited for conferences, seminars, retreats, workshops, festivals, and performances.
