Goathead Press
Goathead Press is a print studio located in the Mighty Tieton Warehouse. Run by artists Fay Jones (manager), Karen Quint and Robert Jones, it is an efficient workspace with two presses and plenty of worktables, suitable for all kinds of relief printing, monoprinting and simple copperplate etching. The press runs occasional workshop/classes, and is available for artists to rent on a daily or weekly basis. Following are the costs and general requirements for using the facility.
Costs
- $35 per day
- $200 for 7-day week
- $150 for a 5-day week
Goathead Press provides basic inks (both oil based and water soluble) and cleaning materials. Standard printing paper may be purchased at cost: $2 per sheet.
For residencies of five days or longer there is a nonrefundable cleaning fee of $25.
Before starting to work, any artist using the studio will be given a demonstration on use of the presses, the etching tank etc.
If an artist using the studio needs assistance, the press charges $30 per hour, four hour minimum.
