About a dozen independently owned artisan businesses have started or expanded under the Mighty Tieton banner.
They include a fine press and book bindery, a printmaking studio and press, a goat cheese creamery and farm, a cidery and gift-fruit business, a kite production facility, book and wine warehousing and fulfillment, event spaces, rental cabins for short visits and longer residencies, and several artist's studios and workshops. Architects and an engineering firm based in Seattle work out of Tieton. An on-line and physical shop that sells Tieton-Made products and art books opened last year. Construction on a co-op ceramics studio has begun. New ventures are always in the works.
What sorts of other business might fit here? Tieton could use a tavern, a microbrewery, more food choices, and an inn. There are available shop spaces for production work and a clinic. Businesses related to tourism and recreation could fit in. Perhaps a commercial kitchen? If you have an idea to try out, contact us. mtieton@yahoo.com
