- LitFuse combines teaching, writing, exploration, letterpress printing, meditation, camaraderie, natural beauty and readings to ignite your muse.
- LitFuse 2008 is proud to feature American Book Award winner Lorna Dee Cervantes, author of Emplumada (1981), From the Cables of Genocide: Poems on Love and Hunger (1991), and Drive: the First Quartet (2006). Ms. Cervantes will help us explore the spirits released during El Dia de los Muertos.

- In addition to Ms. Cervantes, our amazing faculty includes: Mark Halperin, Central Washington University Professor Emeritus in Creative Writing, author of Falling Through the Music, Time as Distance, and Accent on Meter, among other books; Sam Green, Washington State Poet Laureate, publisher of Brooding Heron Press, writing teacher at Seattle University, author of ten collections of poetry including The Grace of Necessity, and The Only Time We Have; David Ossman, political poet extraordinaire and irrational fraction of the Firesign Theater, author of The Sullen Art, and Dr. Firesign’s Follies, amond other books; Elizabeth Austen, 2007 Washington Roadshow poet and KUOW poetry commentator; Carol Trenga, certified instructor in yoga, Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement®, and meditation; Dan Peters, of Yakima Valley Community College, author of The Reservoir, who bats right, writes left; AK Allin, the poetess of Green Lake, curator of the performance art / poetry series Untitled(Intersection); Jim Bodeen, itinerant shaman and publisher of Blue Begonia Press, author of many fine volumes including Impulse to Love; Felicia Gonzales, 2007 Artist Trust fellowship recipient; and Raul Sanchez, expert on El Dia de los Muertos.
- Lorna Dee Cervantes Master Class: IS FULL
- Clock Hour Certification for Teachers in District 105: Up to 8.0 hours of clock hour continuing education can be earned by teachers in the many Central Washington districts that make up District 105. Please consult the LitFuse Program for the classes that have been certified.
