We are pleased to announce the publication of Goathead Press's inaugural portfolio of linocuts and woodblock prints by seventeen artists, all of whom are part of, or connected to, the Mighty Tieton project. All prints are made in one pass through the press, on several kinds of eleven-by-seventeen-inch paper, in an edition of twenty-eight. It is a diverse collection of images, printed in October, November, and December 2008 by Fay Jones, Karen Quint, and Robert Jones. Each set of prints is presented in an archival black box with a colophon page designed and printed by Karen Quint and Jerry Marr in the letterpress studio.

Artists include Philip Christofides, Sandra Dean, Ali Fujino, Gail Gibson, Fay Jones, Robert C. Jones, Chris Kramer, Ed Marquand, Ann Orminski, Yvonne Pepin, Karen Quint, Kerry Quint, Amy Rabas, Peter Riches, Scott Skinner, Trimpin, and Claudia Vernia.

Complete portfolios are priced at $1500. Individual prints are $250. All proceeds go to support Goathead Press.

Goathead Press is a printmaking studio located in a beautiful space in the Mighty Tieton warehouse. It is a generous and flexible workspace suitable for individual artists, yet big enough to accomodate workshops and projects, such as the inaugural Goathead Press portfolio. Plans for the future include an artist residency program and use of the studio for workshops.

Goathead Press will be working with Allied Arts of Yakima on a combined printmaking project in summer 2009.
