Tieton Garden Tour

Mom deserves a sunshiny day out in Tieton! The very first spring Tieton Garden Tour is this Saturday, May 11 (Mother’s Day weekend) from 11am to 4pm. Explore five local gardens, each unique and vast. One even offering starters while supplies last! This isn’t a typical tour in that we are looking at gardens early in their season. How did the summer treat these gardens? Find out at a fall follow up Tieton Garden Tour on Saturday, September 14.

“Tieton is probably two weeks behind Yakima in terms of gardening but my garden is bursting with the unbridled enthusiasm of Spring! Lots of alliums, blooming trees, and fresh, new leaves. The garden loves this weather and I love this garden…” says Michelle Wyles, one of the many garden hosts.

The Tieton Garden Tour incorporates many of the Mighty Tieton entities. Tieton’s newest retail shop, Tieton Made, is hosting the event. Get a sneak peek of the space and what’s to come before the store’s opening at the Highland Country Fair May 31. Each ticket includes one drink of your choice at 617 on Tieton Square, the most hip tapas bar around. Consult with Yakima Master Gardeners who will be located at the Paper Hammer Garden. Each guest will also receive a handcrafted commemorative card, made especially for the event in Paper Hammer’s letterpress studio.

There will be a lot to see in Tieton Saturday with the fourth of Tieton Mosaic’s Vintage Project up. Boxx Gallery will be open the entirety of the event with it’s current show, “Convergance”, featuring works by Darcie Roberts, Dena Elzie, and Gayle Scholl. The Mighty Tieton Warehouse Gallery will also be open from 12 to 3pm featuring over 400 works from Upper Valley students, grades K – 12. The Trimpin Sound Space will also be open.

Tickets are available for purchase ($10) at Tieton Made the day of the event beginning at 11am. Tieton Made is located at 700 Maple Street, Tieton, WA. Presented by Tieton Made.
