Studio tour & sound installation by Trimpin, kinetic sculptor
A MacArthur “Genius” Award and a Guggenheim Fellow, Trimpin is a German-born kinetic sculptor, sound artist and musician. He “manufactures orchestras that play themselves,” and is described in New York’s Village Voice as “a genius at circuitry and machinery as well as acoustics and musical structure.” He has been hailed as “one of the awesome musical geniuses of the early 21st century.”
