Mighty Tieton

Mighty Tieton Enterprises

Mighty Tieton is an informal business incubator. As such, it may be able to help viable fledgling design, light manufacturing, and hopspitality businesses get established in Tieton by offering assistance finding affordable space, warehousing, back-office support, PR, and broader context for each enterprise.

The ideal Mighty Tieton entrepreneurs are self-starting, creative individuals and businesses with innovative ambitions who are able to set up viable enterprises and who can invest time, energy, and money to get their ventures going.

Although most of the Mighty Tieton businesses are only loosely associated, the newly assembled Mighty Tieton Business Committee offers advice, connections, and assistance to other Tieton entities.

Local businesses may be eligible for many tax breaks and training subsidy programs. Mighty Tieton has been working with the Yakima Valley Development association to identify specific opportunities.

Tieton Farm & Creamery Ruth and Lori Babcock will break ground in 2009 with their bed and breakfast just on the outskirts of Tieton. Their plan is to create a farm and creamery on the European agriturismo model, where visitors can learn about sustainable farming and enjoy the fruits of the harvest firsthand. Eat locally, eat sustainably, eat well.
